I only like brands that I enjoy using, so my question is, is this a reflection of their loyal consumer base? or do social media actually improve the loyalty of their consumer base? For me as a consumer it is the first option, but I guess for others it could be the second, considering the updates I get from people who I don't ever see myself liking. Idk, I think social media is being used because companies feel this "extra closeness" to their consumers which they've never had before. However, I see them as over-glorifying this technology and not using it to its full potential. I could be wrong, but those are just my thoughts :D
