Social media are absolutely useful for business theoretically and they have been applied to business practices in terms of marketing, branding and promoting. I remember we talked about the newly released "Promote" function in Facebook, which is an example of Facebook heading to businesses. Looks like it hasn't gone viral yet, there are not many business using this Facebook "Promote" to promote their products. If it still goes that way, maybe Facebook will eliminate it one day.
